Arch is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He and his wife have been married over 30 years and have three children. In his free time, Arch enjoys surfing, golf, biking, tennis, lacrosse, and gardening. He has also committed time to several local organizations over the years, serving in various capacities, with the Tidewater chapter of the Virginia Athletic Foundation, The Virginia Beach Assembly, Princess Anne Country Club, Norfolk Academy Alumni Board of Directors and United Way*.
